His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister, graced the Dubai Gaming Retreat organized by the Dubai Media Council.
The Crown Prince met with representatives from 80 prominent gaming firms, accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council.
This retreat served as a platform for government officials and industry leaders to enhance cooperation, share priorities, and devise new strategies that will nurture the future expansion of Dubai’s gaming industry.
During the retreat, Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that Dubai's success is rooted in its foresight and ability to transform dreams into reality.
Guided by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai is fostering an ecosystem where emerging industries can thrive, supporting talent and enabling businesses to contribute significantly to economic progress.
He highlighted the necessity of strong public-private partnerships for the gaming industry's future, aiming to not only welcome top global gaming firms but also to cultivate an environment conducive to the growth of upcoming gaming entities.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stressed the ongoing enhancement of Dubai's media sector through investments in emerging fields.
He cited gaming as a vast opportunity, fostering new dimensions for talent and innovation. The Dubai Gaming Retreat underscores the emirate's dedication to collaborating closely with stakeholders for growth and establishing a vibrant gaming ecosystem.
He remarked that expanding gaming's role within Dubai's economy aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, reinforcing the emirate's status as a leading hub for digital technology and creativity.
The event featured esteemed attendees like Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson of the Dubai Media Council; His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul, Chairman of the Dubai Gaming Committee; and executives from leading gaming firms and esports organizations.
Mona Ghanem Al Marri emphasized that the progress of Dubai’s media sector relies on innovation and collaboration.
The gaming industry is pivotal for scripting the next chapter of Dubai’s media narrative by providing a space for innovative ideas to flourish. She stressed that the spirit of creativity and collaboration among the growing gaming community will catalyze the emergence of successful global gaming enterprises.
According to her, the Dubai Gaming Retreat is pivotal for uniting this community in sculpting the sector’s future.
