Sheikha Shamma Presents New Children's Storybook at Abu Dhabi Library

Sheikha Shamma Presents New Children's Storybook at Abu Dhabi Library

Post by : Badri Ariffin

At the Abu Dhabi Children's Library, Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President and CEO of Frontier25 and The Climate Tribe, unveiled her new children's book, WHOOSH! A Story About the Sounds of Safety, as part of the UAE's pivotal "We Will Emerge Stronger" initiative.

The inspiration behind the book is to help children grasp the meanings of unfamiliar sounds that might induce anxiety or fear. Through an engaging narrative, WHOOSH! illustrates how families and communities band together during difficult moments, showcasing the role individuals play in ensuring safety.

During the reading, Sheikha Shamma engaged with the young audience and families, underscoring the value of transparent dialogue and reassurance when children encounter unfamiliar situations. This event sought to foster significant exchanges between parents and children, nurturing a sense of safety and confidence.

Reflecting on the initiative, Sheikha Shamma articulated that "We Will Emerge Stronger" serves to unite communities through hope, placing emphasis on the future. She acknowledged the crucial role of the younger generation in societal progress and expressed anticipation that WHOOSH! would allow families to converse openly while establishing a secure environment.

The book presents a thoughtful and child-friendly means to tackle challenging topics with young ones, creating an inviting platform for discussions that can help children navigate uncertainty and deliver comfort during testing times.

Through WHOOSH!, Sheikha Shamma seeks to enhance children's emotional health and bolster family dialogue, reflecting the principles of unity, resilience, and community support championed by the UAE's "We Will Emerge Stronger" program.
