A disturbing case involving teenage violence has drawn public attention in Singapore after seven girls were arrested for allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old girl at a shopping mall car park along Orchard Road. The incident reportedly took place late on the night of May 3 and has sparked concerns about youth safety and group violence.
According to reports, the victim was allegedly lured to the 11th-floor car park of a shopping mall before being confronted by a group of girls. The victim's mother claimed that four of the girls were known to her daughter, while several other individuals were also present during the incident.
The alleged assault is believed to have lasted for approximately 40 minutes, during which the teenager was reportedly unable to leave the area. The presence of multiple individuals at the scene allegedly made it difficult for her to escape or seek immediate assistance.
After the incident, the injured girl managed to make her way to The Centrepoint shopping complex before heading to her grandmother's residence. From there, she contacted her mother and informed her about what had happened. Emergency assistance was later arranged for the teenager.
Singapore Police confirmed that they received a call for assistance at around 11:25 p.m. on the night of the incident. The victim was subsequently taken to a hospital while conscious. She reportedly remained hospitalized for nine days and continues to undergo treatment and recovery.
Authorities later arrested seven girls between the ages of 12 and 17 in connection with the case. The suspects are being investigated for alleged rioting offenses, while police continue gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
The victim's family stated that the teenager suffered both physical injuries and emotional trauma as a result of the alleged attack. The case has reignited discussions about youth violence, online disputes, and the importance of intervention programs aimed at preventing similar incidents among teenagers.
