Sunita Ahuja, the wife of Bollywood icon Govinda, recently shared her unfiltered thoughts in an interview, highlighting the complexities of being married to a celebrity. Married since 1987, Sunita has often spoken about the hurdles they face, drawing significant media attention with her insights.
Errors and Expectations in Their Union
During her recent conversation, Sunita emphasized the need for self-discipline in a marriage. “One must maintain control. Everyone makes mistakes in youth; I did, and so did Govinda... Once you reach a certain age, making mistakes can compromise your reputation, especially when you have a lovely family,” she explained.
The Reality of Being Married to a Star
She spoke about the emotional burdens of being the spouse of a Bollywood superstar: “Govinda is a hero… He spends more time around actresses than he does with me. It requires immense strength to be a star’s partner. I needed 38 years to understand this fully.” Sunita added that while Govinda is a devoted son and brother, he hasn't fulfilled the role of a husband adequately in her opinion, humorously stating she wouldn’t wish for him as a husband in her next life.
Rumors and Reunification
Since February, speculation about their relationship has been rampant, with stories of a separation and divorce making rounds. Some reports claimed that Sunita had issued a separation notice earlier, although no further steps were taken. However, they were recently spotted together celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi, with Sunita asserting that nothing could divide them.
Family Dynamics
Govinda and Sunita Ahuja tied the knot in March 1987, keeping their marriage largely under wraps until the arrival of their daughter, Tina, in 1988. They later became parents to son Yashvardhan in 1997. Despite facing various challenges, their enduring marriage continues to attract public intrigue.
