Tara Sutaria Celebrates 30: Her Go-To DIY Face Mask and Skincare Secrets

Tara Sutaria Celebrates 30: Her Go-To DIY Face Mask and Skincare Secrets

Post by : Saif Rahman

On November 19, actress Tara Sutaria, star of titles like Student of the Year 2 and Tadap, marked her 30th birthday amidst warm wishes from fans and friends. As discussions ignited online, many focused on her cherished skincare routine, first revealed in a 2019 Vogue interview. Unlike other celebrities who may opt for high-end products, Tara advocates for straightforward and time-tested solutions, much like those loved in Indian households.

In the interview, she mentioned her beloved face mask, a simple recipe handed down from her grandmother. This DIY mask consists of four accessible ingredients: yogurt, chickpea flour (gram flour), turmeric, and honey. Tara shared that she typically applies this mixture for 15 to 20 minutes, finding immediate effects that leave her skin looking brighter and more refreshed.

Her daily skincare routine is refreshingly uncomplicated. Tara emphasizes hydration and basic care routines, which involve cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. Though she has learned about advanced treatments like PRP and vampire facials, she favors natural options instead, steering clear of these invasive methods.

Every ingredient in her grandmother’s mask serves a unique purpose. Gram flour, a staple in Indian skincare, provides a mild exfoliating effect due to its texture, helping eradicate dullness and grime without harsh chemicals. Additionally, its protein content aids in maintaining skin firmness and smoothness.

Yogurt contributes natural lactic acid, serving as a gentle exfoliator while ensuring hydration and elasticity, especially around the face's contours. Many users report softer and more hydrated skin following yogurt mask applications.

Turmeric, revered in Indian cooking, adds anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Its component curcumin has been studied for its ability to combat uneven skin tone, acne scars, and general skin irritation while promoting quicker skin healing and collagen production.

Honey provides moisture and acts as a natural skin barrier, keeping the complexion hydrated and reducing redness. Its antibacterial characteristics make it an ideal ingredient for soothing troubled skin.

To create this traditional mask, the ingredients are blended into a smooth paste, applied evenly to the face, and left for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water. Most fans recommend using the mask a couple of times a week for optimal results.

Tara Sutaria’s straightforward beauty philosophy continues to resonate with many. She champions a natural, uncomplicated approach to skincare without reliance on luxurious products. Her homemade mask, which she shared long ago, remains popular for its accessibility and simplicity, appealing to households everywhere. Tara's commitment to maintaining healthy skin through straightforward habits remains a source of inspiration and relatability, particularly for her younger audience.
