Thailand's Ministry of Education has launched a nationwide campaign to encourage more students to apply for the second phase of the ODOS Scholarship Program 2026, a major initiative aimed at providing international education opportunities to talented young people across the country.
Education Minister Prasert Chantarawong addressed senior ministry officials and urged all educational institutions and affiliated agencies to actively promote the scholarship program among students, teachers, parents, and school networks. The ministry believes that many eligible students may miss the opportunity simply because they are unaware of the application process.
The ODOS Scholarship Program has been designed to support high school and vocational students who demonstrate strong academic potential and ambition. Successful applicants will receive opportunities to pursue associate degree and bachelor's degree programs overseas in fields considered essential for Thailand's future development.
Officials stated that the scholarship focuses on strategic disciplines including artificial intelligence, digital technology, engineering, healthcare, data science, and other future-oriented industries. These sectors are expected to play a critical role in strengthening Thailand's economic competitiveness and innovation capacity in the coming decades.
Minister Prasert emphasized that the initiative is not merely a scholarship scheme but a gateway to world-class education and global exposure for Thai youth. He encouraged students who meet the eligibility requirements to apply confidently and take advantage of an opportunity that could significantly shape their future careers.
To ensure broader participation, the Ministry of Education has instructed schools and regional education offices to intensify awareness campaigns through digital platforms, community networks, and local outreach programs. Special attention is being given to remote and underserved regions where access to information may be limited.
Applications for the second phase of the ODOS Scholarship Program are open from May 29 to June 15, 2026, through the official portal. Education authorities hope the initiative will help create a new generation of highly skilled professionals equipped to contribute to Thailand's long-term national development and global competitiveness.
