Tottenham Hotspur’s manager, Thomas Frank, remains determined to follow his long-term plan to rebuild the team despite a heavy 4-1 defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League. The match took place recently, adding pressure on Frank as Tottenham prepares for a tough Champions League away game against Paris St Germain (PSG) on Wednesday.
In the north London derby, Arsenal’s Eberechi Eze stood out by scoring a hat-trick, helping Arsenal secure a strong victory. Tottenham has struggled in recent weeks, winning only one of their last five league matches. Currently, the team sits ninth in the Premier League with 18 points, which is 11 points behind the league leaders, Arsenal.
Thomas Frank, who took over as Tottenham’s manager in June after the previous coach was dismissed, said he is confident in his approach to rebuilding the club. Speaking to reporters ahead of the PSG match, Frank emphasized his commitment to the team’s development despite recent setbacks. “I’m one thousand percent sure I know how to build a team and how to build a club,” Frank said. “We’ll do that.”
Frank acknowledged the challenges that come with managing a high-profile club like Tottenham and said setbacks are part of the process. He urged his players to learn from defeats and move forward. With the Champions League match against European champions PSG coming up, Frank expressed optimism about his team’s ability to respond and perform well.
Tottenham’s current Champions League record stands at two wins in four games, placing them 12th in their group. A strong performance in Paris could improve their standing and increase their chances of advancing to the next stage of the competition.
Despite the difficulties, Frank is focused on building a strong and competitive Tottenham team for the future. Fans and critics will be watching closely to see if the team can bounce back and make an impact in both domestic and European competitions.
