Emirati Nationals Can Travel to Lebanon Starting June 29, 2026, Registration Required

Emirati Nationals Can Travel to Lebanon Starting June 29, 2026, Registration Required

Post by : Rameen Ariff

The UAE government has announced that Emirati citizens are once again permitted to travel to Lebanon starting from June 29, 2026, as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).

This decision comes in response to previous travel bans due to regional security concerns. Although travel is now allowed, it is imperative that citizens complete mandatory registration through the Twajudi service prior to departure.

Mandatory Twajudi Registration for Travelers

All UAE nationals intending to visit Lebanon are required to register using the Twajudi service before leaving the country.

The registration process entails providing:

  • Residential address in Lebanon
  • Emergency contact details
  • Updates on return to the UAE
  • Notification of any change in travel plans or location

The Ministry underscored that the completion of this registration is crucial for ensuring that citizens receive prompt assistance if necessary while abroad.

Urgent Support for Citizens Abroad

In case of emergencies in Lebanon, UAE nationals are advised to contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs via their emergency hotline 80024 for immediate help and support.

Officials highlighted that the Twajudi system facilitates communication and coordination of assistance to citizens in times of emergencies or unpredicted events.

Risks of Non-Compliance with Registration

The Ministry has warned that failing to complete the required Twajudi registration prior to traveling may result in:

  • Delays in travel procedures
  • Potential legal consequences under relevant laws

Authorities have urged all citizens to adhere to these travel prerequisites before making any travel arrangements for Lebanon.

Background on Previous Travel Restrictions

Back in April 2026, the Ministry imposed travel bans on Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq due to regional security developments. This latest update lifts Lebanon from that restriction and allows Emirati citizens to travel there, contingent on the new registration procedures.
