Post by : Maya Rahman

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation has enhanced its support for athletes and fans by launching two round-the-clock hotlines during the 17th edition of the Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Championship at Mubadala Arena in Zayed Sports City. This introduction marks a historic first for the championship, underscoring the Federation’s commitment to ensuring participant comfort and effective communication for all attending.

His Excellency Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice President of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, remarked that these hotlines will remain active throughout the championship duration. They are intended to assist both local spectators and international competitors who have gathered from around the globe for this prestigious event.

Al Dhaheri expressed the Federation's goal to ensure a supportive environment for all attendees, facilitating quick resolutions to any questions or issues that arise. The hotline service provides information on event timings, logistics, venue accessibility, accommodation arrangements, and other relevant needs of athletes and spectators. This initiative aims to enhance the overall experience for participants and reinforces the Federation's reputation for excellence in organization and hospitality.

The Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Championship is recognized as one of the leading martial arts events globally. This year's edition features more than 10,000 competitors from over 130 countries, positioning it as the largest and most diverse tournament in its history. The impressive turnout highlights the international enthusiasm for Jiu-Jitsu and Abu Dhabi’s role as a pivotal hub for the sport.

The Federation's decision to implement these 24-hour hotlines demonstrates its focus on ensuring smooth event proceedings. Al Dhaheri pointed out that this service will prove beneficial for participants and fans alike, providing essential guidance for attending matches and navigating the facilities at Mubadala Arena.

Additionally, 70 volunteers of varying ages are actively aiding the championship efforts, stationed throughout key locations such as entrances, seating areas, practice zones, and information hubs. Their mission is to ensure a smooth event flow and a positive experience for all.

The volunteers are well-trained to address diverse situations and are supported by the new hotline system, enabling immediate communication with the event management team if assistance is necessary. This blend of personal engagement and digital support aims to deliver top-tier service throughout the championship.

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation remains dedicated to establishing Abu Dhabi as a premier destination for Jiu-Jitsu, enhancing the city's standing as the “World Capital of Jiu-Jitsu” through large-scale events and professional support services.

Al Dhaheri also acknowledged the importance of technology and systematic organization in ensuring a successful championship. The Federation has implemented various digital systems for registration, scheduling, and communication, streamlining coordination between teams and officials. The hotline initiative is yet another way innovation contributes to improving experiences for athletes and spectators.

He confirmed that the hotlines will continue to function throughout the competition until every team has completed its participation, with feedback collected via these lines used to refine future events and better understand the needs of athletes and fans.

The Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Championship fosters world-class talent and promotes values such as sportsmanship, discipline, and respect—the essence of Jiu-Jitsu. The latest initiative from the Federation ensures that a welcoming and organized atmosphere prevails throughout the event.

As the championship progresses, countless competitors from diverse backgrounds vie for medals and accolades. The Federation’s ongoing efforts to provide exceptional facilities and services underscore the UAE’s commitment to excellence in sports and hospitality on an international scale.
