Negotiations reportedly gained momentum when Donald Trump renewed interest in Greenland, asserting its significance for U.S. national security. Military analysts assert that the Arctic is becoming ever more significant as melting ice unveils new shipping routes and access to valuable natural resources. Nations such as Russia, China, and the U.S.—along with NATO partners—have increasingly focused on Arctic security and the quest for strategic dominance.
