Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has emphasized that cybersecurity is a crucial, ongoing, and urgent task for Vietnam. He highlighted its importance in protecting national security, supporting socio-economic development, and ensuring a safe digital environment for citizens.
The Prime Minister noted that rapid advancements in technology and digital transformation bring both opportunities and risks. Cyber threats such as data breaches, online fraud, misinformation, and cyberattacks are increasing, posing serious challenges to national security and public safety.
He also pointed out that Vietnam has made significant progress in strengthening cybersecurity systems, improving legal frameworks, and enhancing international cooperation. However, challenges remain, including a shortage of skilled professionals, limited resources, and evolving cybercrime techniques.
Looking ahead, the government aims to strengthen cybersecurity infrastructure, improve awareness, enhance coordination between agencies, and invest in technology and human resources. The focus will be on early prevention, protecting data, and ensuring a secure digital future for the country.
