The wheat harvest for the 2025/2026 agricultural season is now underway in Al Najd, with farmers operating under the guidance of the Directorate General of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in Dhofar Governorate.
This season, approximately 6,408 acres have been cultivated across 51 farms in Dhofar, with production estimates nearing 8,000 tons, indicating a positive trend in local agricultural performance.
Ongoing support from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources includes the provision of subsidized wheat seeds and modern harvesting equipment at no cost, enhancing productivity and efficiency for farmers this harvest season.
Furthermore, the ministry is collaborating with Oman Flour Mills Company to streamline the collection and distribution processes of the wheat harvest, underscoring the government's dedication to bolstering food security and empowering local agriculturalists.
