Ranveer Singh’s highly anticipated sequel Dhurandhar The Revenge has begun its theatrical journey with unprecedented box office momentum, breaking all existing records for paid premiere collections in India. Early reports show the film grossed over ₹52 crore from paid premiere shows across the country, surpassing the previous bests set by its own franchise and other Bollywood releases.
Industry trackers report that the net collection (after taxes) from these preview screenings stood at approximately ₹44 crore, as fans flocked to cinemas ahead of the official March 19 worldwide release. The extensive paid premiere rollout included thousands of shows across India and was priced significantly higher than typical previews, driving both revenue and hype.
Despite facing logistical hurdles — including delays in content delivery that caused cancellations of some shows in parts of the country and prompted refunds — anticipation for the spy‑action thriller remained strong. Director Aditya Dhar publicly acknowledged the issues and apologised to fans while reaffirming confidence in the film’s prospects.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge features a star‑studded ensemble including Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi, and follows the massive success of the first instalment (Dhurandhar), which became one of the highest‑grossing Hindi films of 2025. With strong advance bookings still ongoing, trade analysts predict that the sequel is on track for a historic box office run that could eclipse even the blockbuster performance of the original.
