Bus Skids in Kulim Driver Hurt 32 Students Safe

A college bus carrying 32 students skidded off the road in Kulim, Kedah, on Wednesday morning, leaving the driver injured while all passengers escaped without harm. The incident occurred along Jalan Lebuh Kulim Techno City (KTC) at around 7:30 am.

Driver Injured, Students Escape Safely

According to Kulim district police chief Superintendent Syamsul Sinring, the bus was travelling from Taman KTC 1 to Kulim Hi-Tech Park when it reportedly lost control. The vehicle is believed to have skidded before crossing into the opposite lane.

The bus driver, a man in his 40s, sustained injuries and was taken to Kulim Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, all 32 college students on board were unharmed and were safely transported back to their college.

Police Begin Investigation

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. Police are examining the circumstances surrounding the crash, including road conditions and other possible contributing factors.

No other vehicles were reported to be involved in the incident, and there were no additional injuries.

Emergency Response at the Scene

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the location after the accident was reported. Medical personnel attended to the injured driver while ensuring that all students were safely evacuated from the bus.

Traffic in the area was temporarily affected as emergency services managed the scene and cleared the roadway.

Road Safety Remains a Priority

The incident highlights the importance of road safety for public and educational transport. While the accident resulted in only one injury, authorities continue to urge drivers to remain cautious, particularly during morning travel hours.

Officials are expected to release further information once the investigation is completed.

Police have confirmed that the case remains under investigation. Authorities will review all available evidence before determining the exact cause of the bus losing control.
