The UAE has officially marked the launch of its fourth iteration of the Emirates Labour Market Award, a national program aimed at honouring exceptional companies, employees, entrepreneurs, and agencies that positively impact the nation’s job market. This initiative underscores the UAE’s dedication to nurturing a competitive and people-centric economic landscape.
Under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and organised by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), this latest edition adapts to the UAE’s forward-thinking economic vision and aligns with the declaration of 2026 as the “Year of Family,” placing a stronger focus on employee care, family support, and sustainable practices in the workplace.
For this year, the award introduces an improved framework that encompasses four main categories along with various specialized acknowledgments. This initiative pays tribute to Emirati entrepreneurs, multinational firms, organizations leading digital innovations, and companies committed to workforce protection and talent enhancement.
A significant aspect of the award is its emphasis on fostering family-oriented work environments and employee wellbeing. Businesses that implement creative strategies that encourage work-life harmony, professional advancement, and the welfare of their workforce will be specially acknowledged for enhancing a healthier and more efficient job environment.
The award also recognises individual accomplishments from diverse professions. Recognition will be extended to business leaders, skilled technicians, frontline staff, support personnel, and family caregivers. Officials indicate that this initiative illustrates the critical impact individuals have in bolstering the economy and fostering community progress.
Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and Chairman of the Award Supervisory Committee, mentioned that the programme has transformed into a pivotal platform for promoting excellence, creativity, and healthy competition within the UAE's labour market. He added that this award plays a key role in supporting the aims of enhancing business competitiveness and boosting the private sector's performance.
Award recipients will be rewarded with substantial incentives, including cash prizes reaching up to Dh100,000 for individual winners, along with significant advantages for companies. First-place organizations will be granted access to exclusive ministry services, prioritized support, and elevated classification status. Applications for the 2026 edition will be open until August 31, with the selection of winners conducted via a detailed assessment process rooted in governance, performance, and innovation criteria.
