Vietnam Marks 25 Years of Vietnamese Family Day

Vietnam Marks 25 Years of Vietnamese Family Day

Post by : Shakul

Vietnam's General Secretary and President To Lam has issued a special message to mark the 25th anniversary of Vietnamese Family Day. In his letter, he extended warm wishes to Vietnamese families at home and abroad while emphasizing that strong families remain the foundation of a prosperous and united nation.

Family Described as the Heart of Vietnamese Culture

President To Lam said families preserve the country's traditions, moral values and national identity. He noted that love, respect, responsibility and compassion learned within the family help strengthen communities and contribute to Vietnam's long-term development.

Modern Challenges Affect Family Life

The President acknowledged that rapid urbanization, digital transformation, labor migration and an aging population are changing family life across Vietnam. He expressed concern over declining family traditions, weaker communication between generations, domestic violence and growing social isolation.

Support for Children and Vulnerable People

The message called for stronger protection of children, women and elderly citizens. President To Lam also urged greater support for orphaned, homeless and disadvantaged children through shelters, foster care, adoption programmes and community welfare initiatives to ensure every child experiences the warmth of a family.

Development Must Include Strong Families

According to the President, national progress should not be measured only by economic growth and technology but also by the quality of family life, cultural values and social harmony. He encouraged policies that promote safer, fairer and more compassionate families.

Appeal to Preserve Family Traditions

President To Lam concluded by urging every Vietnamese family to respect grandparents, care for children, strengthen relationships between generations and preserve traditional family values. He wished all Vietnamese families good health, happiness, peace and continued success.
