The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has forecast rain in several parts of Johor on polling day for the 16th Johor State Election. Voters in affected districts are advised to plan their travel early and stay updated on weather conditions before heading to polling stations.
According to the latest weather forecast, rain is expected during the morning in Johor Bahru, Batu Pahat, Kulai, Muar, Pontian, and Tangkak. The forecast indicates that weather conditions in these districts are expected to improve later in the day.

MetMalaysia also predicts afternoon thunderstorms in Kluang, Kota Tinggi, and Segamat. Residents in these districts should remain cautious as changing weather conditions may bring brief periods of heavy rain and lightning.
Among all districts, Mersing is expected to experience thunderstorms from the afternoon continuing into the night. Authorities have advised residents and travellers to remain alert, especially in coastal and outdoor areas.
The weather department said no significant rainfall is expected during the afternoon and evening in Johor Bahru, Batu Pahat, Kulai, Muar, Pontian, and Tangkak, allowing polling activities to continue under more favourable conditions.
Election officials and weather authorities encourage voters to monitor official forecasts before leaving home. Carrying umbrellas or raincoats and allowing extra travel time may help avoid weather-related delays during polling.
MetMalaysia will continue monitoring weather developments throughout polling day and issue updates if conditions change. Residents are encouraged to follow official advisories for the latest information.
