Cockroach Party Protest Targets Education Minister

Cockroach Party Protest Targets Education Minister

Post by : Shakul

Hundreds of supporters of the Cockroach Janta Party gathered near Parliament in New Delhi to demand the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Protesters accused authorities of failing to prevent examination irregularities and repeated paper leaks that have affected students across the country.

The demonstration attracted students, young job seekers and supporters of the rapidly growing political movement. Participants carried placards, raised slogans and called for accountability from the government.

Protesters Use Plates And Spoons As Symbol

One of the most striking features of the protest was the use of steel plates and spoons. Demonstrators repeatedly banged utensils to draw attention to their demands and express frustration over the education system.

Many observers viewed the action as a symbolic reference to a nationwide campaign during the COVID-19 pandemic when citizens were encouraged to bang utensils in support of frontline workers.

Education Minister Under Pressure

The protest follows allegations that examination papers for a major national medical entrance test were leaked through social media platforms. The controversy led authorities to postpone the examination while investigations were launched.

Student groups argue that repeated leaks and irregularities are damaging the future of millions of candidates who spend years preparing for competitive examinations.

Cockroach Party Gains National Attention

The Cockroach Janta Party emerged earlier this year after comments made by a senior judge comparing some unemployed youth to cockroaches sparked widespread criticism. Supporters adopted the label and transformed it into a symbol of resilience and resistance.

Since then, the movement has rapidly expanded across social media platforms and gained millions of followers among young Indians.

Founder Calls For Action

Party founder Abhijeet Dipke addressed supporters during the rally and urged the government to take responsibility for examination failures. He said the movement would continue its campaign unless concrete action was taken regarding the allegations.

Supporters warned that protests could intensify if their demands are ignored by policymakers.

Wider Issues Drive Public Support

While the immediate focus remains on examination controversies, the movement has broadened its agenda to include concerns about unemployment, rising living costs and transparency in governance.

Many participants said the protest reflected growing frustration among young people who feel their opportunities are being undermined by systemic problems.

Movement Continues To Grow

Political observers say the Cockroach Janta Party has successfully combined humor, social media activism and political messaging to connect with younger audiences. Its growing visibility has turned it into an unexpected voice in India's public debate.

As investigations into the alleged paper leaks continue, the movement is expected to maintain pressure on authorities and keep education reforms at the center of national discussion.
